When Vivaldi launched a year ago or so I got my account right off, but trailed away due to a lack of activity.  Now with the release of the new tech preview for the browser I am back to see how it will work.  So far I am encouraged by the HTML5 rendering and the overall speed of the engine.  I understand the philosophical reasoning behind lack of support for things like MP3 and H.264 but at the same time think the ubiquity of the formats will have to drive this consideration (I love Ogg too, but it has never really taken off).  I’ll keep watching and trying out the system to see how it continues to develop.
